About us

Some times during 1800, Shri. Ouseph Kurian of Kottuppallyfamily in Thuravoor, Chertala Taluk got married with Smt. Rosamma of the Marangoly family. This was a “dhathu kallyanam” and there were seven sons and three daughters born out of this wedding. Out of the three ladies, Rosamma was married in Kothavara, the second one Mariam was married in Kandanad, and the third, Thresiamma was married in Malabar. The sons were Ouseph Varkey (Arackavathukkal), Ouseph Joseph (Palattuthazhathu), Ouseph Kurian (Thekkumbahagam), Ouseph Thoma (Karippadam), Ouseph Mathai (Vadakkumbhagam), Ouseph Onachan, (Marangoly) and Ouseph Augusthy (Marangoly). Marangoly Family Welfare Society consists of all male children and their male descendants of these seven fathers and the female members married (‘dhathu”) or unmarried who remains in the family. Marangoly Family Welfare Society is established in 2006 to foster better understanding and acquaintance among all family members all over the world, by way of get-togethers from time to time, a family web site, and other communication media. The objective is also to support each other in emergency situations, and to help the needy and deserving members by providing shelter, food, clothes, medicine, educational help, girl’s marriage, and other necessities.
